Coming back to ourselves as part of larger system change
There’s much each of us are dealing with and carrying. We may be well or unwell, thriving or surviving, sick and mending, opening or closing our hearts, or somewhere in between. And I believe in my heart and soul that “our needs can be met, collectively.”
Yet, this big, systemic, collective change, is complex.
We are complex too. Whether we are exploring this solo and/or with a coach, therapist, friend, or in a community group, there are times and spaces where we can bring our attention back to self…
We might not yet know how to create larger system change, but where we can bring our attention, where we do have most choice, is back to ourselves.
We can invite curiosity about:
our own various needs
all the diverse parts of ourselves
our internal beliefs and experiences, values, and goals that can feel in conflict at times
giving space and acknowledgment to our progress as we are learn and growing through life
It is easy to dump on ourselves, but instead… If we are invested in systems change, part of this includes us - and our bodies, as they interact with our minds, actions, and goals.
The more we get to know ourselves,
feel ourselves,
practice resourcing ourselves,
be ourselves,
identify our needs,
learn to regulate our emotions and bodies,
build skills to practice being grounded in the midst of challenge and conflict,
move towards our own sense of healing and wholeness, and support ourselves even when society isn’t…
…The more we are supporting the healing of the whole.
This is what I’m curious about. What are you curious about?
I send you each care.
